yep it's called an honor killing and is very common in most middle eastern countries and occasionally even happens in other countries with large muslim populations (england, france)


they do this to restore family honor if hte girl gets pregnant or something or if SHE GETS RAPED... makes lots of sense huh?

Before answering this question it has 2 be:Do certain countries condone killing ur own daughter?Now am gonna answer,the Islam prohibits killing any human being with out having the right 2 do so and ofcourse this includes the girls as well.Even if the girl is not married but she's pregnant thier parents or others don't have the right 2 kill her coz they r not the one that gave her her soul.Killing the human in the Islam is when ur in a war defending ur self and ur country but if the enemy agrees 2 peace the muslem doesn't have the right 2 kill him.I am muslem so trust me,this info is true.

No there is no permission for killing your daughter. In the quran the only prescription for killing is in the case of Law of Equality.

i.e If you kill my brother then i can either
a) kill you (through judicial system, ofcourse)
b) forgive you, which would be an expiation of my sins.

There is nothing in hadeeth or quran permitting honor killings. maybe some people practise it, but it has no basis in islam.

i'm a muslim and a girl... and in Islam this is forbidden,,,
the problem is that people are mixing between Islamic traditions and Arabic traditions.. both are different in certain cases like this..
in this case the murderer should be punished...
even those cults in Iraq who kidnap people and kill them, and they pretend they are Muslims, they are liars... bcoz Islam also forbade killing innocent lives... they are just stupid people

Yes, some do, unfortunately. Even if a woman is raped against her will, some families would kill her to preserve "family honor."

If this happened in the U.S., the perpetrator(s) would be in prison.

If my daughter got pregnant outside of marriage, I would kill her too. 99.9% Americans don't see how this is a shame because they don't care aboutthemselves or their families. There is no family here. And, yes, I am American.
