I figured out that boys are not as attached to family as girls are. It's a lot more likely that he will only call or visit on special occassions. Not that he doesn't love you but boys tend to get more preoccupied with whatever is going on in their own lives and don't think about calling. If you pay attention, men tend to hang around their wives family more than their own because a woman is more family oriented. So, this is probably the case with your son. He will come around as he gets older.
