The Bible is clear he has always been. The problem with our human brains is we think in human form and we think that God is connected to time. However, our ways are not God's and our thoughts are not his. God created time. God has always been.

God was never created. Atheist tend to use this as a basis for not believing in a god. However, you need to realize that if you don't believe in a god, then you believe that all the matter of the world was never created nor destroyed. (That is hard to comprehend too). It's a law of physics, matter can neither be created or destroyed. Then ask yourself who created matter.
As to god neither being created nor destroyed, we could speculate that time is a dimension that only human's experience. i.e did god create time. If so then the concept of the non-existence of time would explain how god was never created, ie eternal. but things like these are hard to graple since we are only capable of understanding what it is we are familiar with.

A being that exists beyond time doesn't come from anywhere. He has always existed. If something created G-d, G-d would have a beginning and He'd be finite, not infinite. Beyond time means having no beginning and no end. Eternal. It means there is nothing that exists before G-d. 'Before' is a time-bound quality that applies only to finite entities. Therefore G-d is called "the First Cause" -- the Prime Mover -- the dimension that has no other dimension preceding it.

Since God created Time, then by definition, nothing could have come 'before' Him. God is the word we use for the initial Prime Mover. The 'whatever it is' that started everything going. We just got lucky. He has a Personality.

I applaud you for thinking logically - if no one came before God, where did God come from? there area million happy fairytales we can make up to answer your question (maybe there's a big universe reset button, and the Christian God doesn't know what happened before the reboot) but the important thing to realize is that no one Knows the answer. And that's OK.

But to quote It says I am the alpha and the omega the beginning and the end the puzzling part for me is if heaven is eternal than why the omega? Have a good one:-)

Nothing...the reality (the totality) that we are part of was created by the God we know...before that we were not, nor was anything else.
