I advise you to see a counselor posthaste.

I don't see the issue. The guy is not a legal member of the family, he is not even a cousin. The girl is 16, but heck, who hasn't dated someone at 16? They are close in age (only 2 years apart, I've seen couples with more). So, why not?
It might feel weird to you, since you feel that both are part of your same family. But still, there is not real issue here - except for your own feelings.

I think you are confused. She is dating her uncle's friend? So what? If she was 18-no problem.
The real problem is that he is legal and she is jail-bait.
Someone (like his friend, the uncle) needs to tell him and her to keep his zipper up until she is legal or he could be looking at jail-time and being branded a PEDOPHILE. People don't fool around with that like they used to. That girl could ruin his whole life. All he has to do is piss her off and he's toast.
He needs to be very careful! Know any careful 18 year old boys?
I don't.
This is a bad idea for anyone who cares about this boy.

I don't think it is bad for a 16 year old to date someone 2 years older. You and your husband would know best if he is an OK guy for her to date though. Good luck to you.

Don't get involved. It is neither bad nor good , nor your concern. If it fails you won't have to hear about it, if it succeeds and you voiced your opinion, they will resent you.... 18 is by law too old to date a minor child, unless your state emancipates minors at 16. It is for the parents of the girl to speak up, not you.

Not the same family member, just a friend. I don't see anything wrong except may be you are getting jealous because he is your husband's best friend. Age difference has no bearing these days.

How old are you and your husband, to have a best friend still in HighSchool? I don't see the problem, unless they start having sex, there might be stat. rape problems...

I believe that if you did not approve of this gut then he would not be a family friend. It's better that is dating someone that you know rather then someone who has not proven that they are worhty of your respect

what is the issue???
They are not family.
Many 16 years olds are dating, having sex.
Are you worried because you think they will get into trouble, or are you worried because you feel this happens in your family and you don't like it?

As long as they wait until she is 18 before having sex. Otherwise he can be charged with statutory rape.
