Catholic, You don't have to read or interpret anything, that's what the celibate priesthood is for. If you have any questions of faith, you can run to a priest to confess and he can straighten you out. All it costs are some mumbled phrases and some hand signs, a candle and a few bucks in the poor box. You go to Heaven, no one else can, Oh wait, Pope Paul VI said a protestant could if he was REAL good. You get to have that real neat bath-tub god on your front lawn, that seems to always be pointed toward the street. Personally, I would have it facing the house so I could look out my window and get mo-jo from it anytime I want.

What's religion? A group of like-minded people who happen to appreciate and worship the same things.
If each religion has its place in the world, then all of them. But each person is different and usually chooses a religion they feel most comfortable with, can most easily identify with, or are influenced by familial choices.
One is the religion of "nondisclosure", i.e. "I'd rather not say!" Another is "Eclecticism", i.e. "I'm open to all, but follower of none."

Any Bible based religion is good as long as you remember that it is not your religion that takes you to heaven, but the faith and belief in Jesus Christ the Son of God.
