if you have good lighting and do not let him sit too close to
the tv his eyes should be all right. however you need to
set limits because he needs to get outside and exercise.,
he also needs to have time for study and for friends, and
to develop and expand intrests.

It actually depend on the age. If he is under 12 then i would give them or he 1 hour each. 1 hour for t.v and 1 hour on the computer. it's 24 hours in a day. you don't want to make them feel like they would have to run a way to watch tv or use the computer. Just give 1 hour each, play some board games and by then they'll be worn out anyway.

Depends on your life style. I can only hope that you monitor your child with the least amount of time on either. You know the sun has the same effect on the eyes. Who is to say what is too strict or not, go by your own guidelines, after all it is your child. Good luck.

Depends on how concerned you are as a parent, how much time you have, and how old the kids are. But it ain't all about vision either.
I like half an hour of each myself. But maybe as they get older they might have assignments that require them to use the internet.

That's not too strict. How about you just sidetrack him from the tv. Like, tell him to do different things first. Say stuff like, "Finish your homework first," or "Do your chores first,". That kind of stuff.

let them have a 15 minute break every hour. also dont let them sit too close to the tv so they arent overusing their eye muscles that have them focus. just have them sit at a comfortable distance.

problems with eyesight is not from tv or computers,it is hereditary. just cause your parents told you that is why you have bad eyes.don't punish your kid by taking away the computer.only real bad parents would use that as an excuse to explain why they have bad eyes.

i would give them half an hour ro 45 minutes, then let their eyes rest, and go on again. its just like headphones you need to give your ears a break every now and then
