Any good real life ghost stories?

American stories in particular scare me... all the good horrors are american.

When I was a kid our home was destroyed in a tornado so we had to find a new place to live. We moved into this old two-story house. It was surrounded by trees and when I was in high school, some of my friends wouldn't come out there because it looked so scary. After I graduated I found out they used to refer to it as sleepy hollow. Well, anyway, when I was a really young kid I was terrified of our house, I refused to set foot upstairs at all, and I had nighmares like crazy. My older sister's bedroom was upstairs, and one night she could hear this creaking sound. She started hearing it all the time, and finally one night she turned on the light in her room, and the rocking chair sitting in the corner was rocking. It wasn't a wooden rocking chair, it was one of those old-fashioned, big stuffed rocking chairs. It, along with several other pieces of furniture and paintings, was already in the house when we moved in. We started asking around and it turned out the older lady who had lived there before us had actually died in that room, and the rocking chair had been hers. My sister would try to weigh it down and would put a bunch of stuffed animals in it, but it would still rock sometimes. Other strange things happened at that house too, like one time our cat disappeared. She had been inside the house in the evening, then that night we couldn't find her. The next morning the cat was in my Mom's car, and the car doors were locked, my Mom usually left her doors unlocked. It was just really strange. And when my Mom opened the car door, the cat took off running and we never saw her again, my Mom said she'd never seen an animal look so freaked out before.

My Mum was working in an office with 2 other people and one of them had their dog with them. There was only them there as the business was shutting down for good so they were staying late to clear up. My Mum needed the loo so went down the corridor to the 'ladies'. There was no loo roll so she went downstairs to the 'mens'. As she walked past the computer suite she glanced through the glass doors and saw a man standing in there looking straight at her. It wasn't her reflection as she was wearing a cream suit and her hair was dark, and he was wearing a dark suit and had grey hair. My Mum s**t herself (not literally) and ran up the stairs like a maniac to tell the others. They decided to go for a look about in case they had an intruder. The dog would NOT leave the office so they went without him. When they went downstairs there was no-one there, and all the doors to the building were locked, including the computer room. My Mum went home pretty quickly after that!

Dunno if it scared you but it scared me when she told me as I was only a kid when it happened.

We could desire to all understand that ghost are genuine and between us!! They do each and everything from pass issues to creating them "fly". Even seem to enjoyed ones or to relay messages. they're in the Bible so which you non secular human beings , get a real existence toddler!! Del Coronado has numerous however the main violent ones they save those thoughts hidden for worry of loss of corporation. however the area is from a time wen it grew to become into they whats up-day 1920's!!!in the process the 60's!! anybody could desire to bypass tee bypass to, watch and learn!!

here sink your teeth in this.
i was working for my uncle at his new house when i noticed blood every where all over the basement. this was not little drops here and there this was mass murder scene blood and hair. i will say it gave me quite a chill when he told my that there was no investigation on it. well any ways to make matters worse i found a little girls bloody hand print smeared all over the walls as well. it was believed that the person who lived there owned a lot of animals and when they got evicted they had no where to put them so the dad went down there and killed them all right there in the basement and brought the kid with him. i however think that he killed all the little girls pets right in front of her and when she objected he gave her what for as well.
but wait there is more.
i cleaned a shelf and leaned it vertically up against the wall the went upstairs to get a drink. when i came down there were huge dog prints all over it and the freaky part is that these people don't let there dogs go down there its blocked by a gate and the shelf was still vertical against the wall. can some one say freaky?

Rent "The Mouth-Man Chronicles". It sounds stupid but it is true. When you watch it, pay attention and it will blow your mind. And I have my own story to tell. In a church in Philadelphia, My family took a picture.We were on vacation and having fun. We were all standing looking at the camera and smiling. When the photo was developed I saw something i never thought i would. There was a women in the picture who was standing next to me that i had never met. She was not there when i was in the picture so i don't know what happened.

It's not really scary but my grandad believed he saw a ghost once ...

He was walking down the road to get a paper when he saw a neighbour walking towards him, he said hello to her but she didn't say anything back. He was a bit surprised to see her as she'd been quite ill recently. He went home and told my gran, and then later on they heard that the neighbour had died that same morning, at about the time my grandad saw her walking down the road ... he was convinced it was her ghost he saw.

I was told this really scary story by one of my teachers about 15 years ago. It was about these two heads, which had been preserved in Egypt for about 2000 years. One day they were delivered to a museum in London and the person who dealt with the delivery ended up taking them home in a box . Then he and his family had all of this bad luck. It was really spooky but I cannot remember what it was called. My teacher might have made it up on the spot - who knows. I wish I could meet him again but I doubt I ever will!

My history teacher told me this one..

His father is a priest. Once, a girl came into the church screaming and chanting something. She was foaming at the mouth. His father went over to her and put his hand on her shoulder. She screamed, "God, don't touch me! Not until my time is up here on Earth!" He prayed that the lord would cast the demon out of her. She collapsed on the floor. When she awoke, a group of priests and elders were around her. She asked where she was a nd what had happened. They told her she was demon-possessed. Imagine being in her situation. Wouldn't you b so freaked out?

well sweetie this is not really a scary ghost story but my mom died about a week after my 21st birthday of cancer. about 3 days before her funeral i was in my bedroom(she died in the house) and i was crying i looked up because i felt someone looking at me. it was my mom in a flowing peach chiffon dress. she told me that it was time for me to grow up and be a woman now and to do the things she taught me. she also said everything will be alright( it was alot of bickering among my older siblings and me the youngest). she told me to do what i felt in my heart that was the right thing to do. she also told me that she loved me and will be watching over me. i still live in the house where she died and my older siblings cannot even spend the night here because of it. i say they have guilty consciences because they weren't here to help take care of my mom while she was sick and dying. good luck in getting a really scary ghost story sweetie. just thought i would share this.

I remember when I was staying over at my friends house about 8 years ago, I would have been about 17. Her parents had gone on holiday and it was just my friend, her brother and his friend and myself. I slept in her bed and she slept in her parents bed. I woke up to find a blond (my friend was brunette) hair young girl dressed in white kneeling at the bottom of my bed just watching me. I didn't freak out, but I just kinda thought to myself 'what the ****!'. Then I glanced over to the other side of the room and a man dressed in white was stood there just watching me. He had the common appearance of Jesus, white gown, long brown hair and beard. Anyway, that did freak me out and I got out of bed and threw the blanket over him. Maybe it was just a dream but I don't know. Another time, when I was living in university halls, I had been in bed with my boyfriend for a few hours and suddenly I felt something pulling me. I looked up and it was a boy around the same age trying to pull me out of bed. That really **** me up and I started screaming to wake my boyfriend up and he said it did actually look like somebody was pulling me. My parents house is haunted by a little boy and everybody else in my family has seen him except me but it's apparently because I live in a new extended part of the house and he only appears in the older parts of the house?! That's what my mum says anyway!
