What does a high pulse rate mean mine was like 160 and I am 21 years old. I know that is not normal.

That is exactly why !!! When you have low blood pressure your heart rate picks up speed to maintain the same amount of blood flow. ( Cardiac output )
To figure this in a ( BALL PARK ) way, subtract the bottom number of your BP from the top number and then multiply by the heart rate. This will give you a rough figure of your cardiac output.
But either way you should get checked out by the doctor because this is not a healthy sign.

If you're anemic, your heart has to work harder to get enough oxygen to your body. Caffeine and stress can also speed up your heart rate.
