burn process failed power calaberation error? help please as it burns cd-rs easy no probs i am useing nero 7 at the mo.

that same thing happend to me, u need a new nero, i have the download, and its free!

You can try and reduce the speed. Or you can change the the disc setting to Physical Settings. There should be a few choice and its hidden depending if you use Nero Express, Nero Vision, Nero ROM or Nero Recode.

One thing that I have found is that the so called bargain and off brand dvd-rs are usually 30 percent bad. Invest in some name brand dvds. In the end you will not have paid anymore than you did with that 100 pack of Bens Bargain Basement dvds

It takes special equipment to burn DVD cd'r all computers do. They have external and internal tray burners. Had the same problem and that is what I was told. software can be found free believe it or not a Microsoft site. but I was also told it was illegal which makes no since to me cause you cans do VHS whats the difference? Have a good one:-)

open nero smartstart
highlight extra
click "get system info "
the info will tell you if you are able to burn DVD-R and or DVD+R

failing that change book type from auto to DVD-R

your dvd leans may have burned out...

That's what happened to our cd leans... I could burn dvd's but not cd's and It was the cd leans that got burned out.... It's just wear or tear!
