Toughguy I think of Tunney as a 1920's version of Ali if you;ve seen video of both of them their styles are similar. I think Tunney would have tied up, jabbed and circled the cagey Walcott to win a unanimous 15 round decision. 2 venerated heavyweight champions!!

Walcott - W 51 (KO's 32) TF 71 - W pct 72% - KO pct 45% - wins over E.Charles - KO'ed by Louis and Marciano - Referee for Ali/Liston 2 - 66 greatest puncher of all-time.

Tunney - W 83 (KO's 49) TF 88 - W pct 94% - KO pct 56% - wins over Dempsey[2] - KO'ed by none.
Good defensive fighter.

Tunney by a split decision.

Tunny I would think. Walcott was a good fighter but not a great fighter. Tunny was a street brawler and would have outlasted Walcott.
