You are so young it is dangerous to mess with dieting. How about asking your mom to take you to a dietian and teaching you how to just eat ballanced foods? Just try not to eat junk cookies, chips, fried foods, soda and empty calories. Eat just good food. Do not deprive yourself. Then just exercise in some way. You are not too far away from being an okay weight anyway. If you are not muscular you just need to convert what you are made of to muscle. You might not lose that much weight, but you might lose inches. I would think that just eating healthy lean protein, like turkey without skin, white skinless chicken, lowfat yougert, vegtables, fruits, cottage cheese low fat, good fats like avacado, nuts or olives, good oils like olive or saflower or canola. Brown rice or whole wheat products would be best. You need to have food from all groups even fats just in moderation and just healthy choices. Ask your mom to help you find a healthy book at the library or have an apointment with a dietian to get some brochures. Get involved in some exercise. I know it seems like at your age that there may only be sports, but you can do yoga, hike, skate, bike, or swim. It is only limited to your imagination. What is important is that you find something you like and do it a great deal. Some people love racket ball and do it a great deal. Other people find active things to do in between their exercise to do. Even if it is just bowling or dancing. Just be gentle with your body and do not diet. It is not good for anyone even adults. It is especially bad for a teen. Just start on good eating patterns that will last you a long time.

I'm not going to say, "diet & exercise" because those words don't mean a thing. If you want to loose weight, EAT LESS. First off, stop drinking sodas. Yea, I know, it sucks. But, you'll drop five pounds within ten days. Stop eating sugars first, and then cut back on fats. Fried foods are the worst, stop eating them. Eat an apple, orange, watermelon, carrot, etc. It takes will power, good luck

at 13, and at 130 lbs, you should just let your body grow and it will become slender when it's ready. you are still growing, and your body needs good healthy food, water, and exercise to complete the process. make sure to eat 3 moderate meals a day along with 3 small snacks a day. make sure to eat plenty of high fiber, brightly colored fruits, berries, vegies a day with whole wheat, whole grain, high fiber breads, crackers, cereals and oatmeal with lean proteins such as soy crisps, soy nuts, almonds, pistachios, peanuts, granola, peanut butter, and chicken, fish, lean turkey and ham. steer clear of junkfood except for the occasional treat. get plenty of physical activity such as walking and running with weight lifting and resistance exercises 5 days a week for at least 30-45 minutes. just live healthy and give your body the tools it needs to grow and be healthy. everything will work out fine and you will feel great.

If you do not have medical issues, then you already know the answers, but I will repeat them for you.

1. Discipline = Close your mouth, nothing in means nothing on your hips

2. Only THREE (3) meals per day - NO SNACKS of any kind
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner only.

3. MOVE your body, the word for that is EXERCISE!

4. Cookies, cake, candy, sweet crap, potato chips, fried crap, sodas and the like, sugar crap is out!

But you already know this stuff! So why are you asking for a repeat of stuff that you already know, too you know it has not changed?

Also, you did not get fat over night, neither will you get skinny over night! As much as you have put into your mouth, over time to get fat, you will have to close your mouth and move over time to get rid of it!
