Hey soul,
Don't get caught up too much into what these atheists say about us. They attack out of fear. Fear is a strong emotion and it brings out aggression.
I know I have seen all the flack from, "I am not brainwashed" to " Christians are the dumbest people on earth."

Just let them live their meaningless life and hope that they can find what it is really all about before it is too late. Stay strong sista.
After all, I think they really do believe or they would not be here trying to prove something wrong that they don't believe in.

I don't believe in Santa Clause but I am not sending insults about the north pole or elves or reindeer. It's that they know deep down they might actually be wrong. They just don't know it yet.

I think that must be an American thing. Atheists don't get picked on in Europe. Being atheist or Christian isn't really seen as a problem here.
I just looked at different versions of Yahoo Answers.
If you put atheist in the searchbox in the American version (advanced - American questions only), you get 7,490 hits.
If you do the same thing in the UK-Ireland version (advanced - UK Irleland questions only), you get 225 hits.
If you put ateo in the searchbox in the Spanish version, you get 115 hits.
If you put ateu in the searchbox in the Brazilian version, you get 86 hits.
If you put athée in the searchbox in the French version, you get 68 hits.
If you put atheist in the searchbox in the Canadian version (advanced - Canadian questions only), you get 50 hits.
If you do the same thing in the Australian version, you get 48 hits.
If you put ateo in the searchbox in the Italian version, you get 30 hits.
If you put Atheist in the searchbox in the German version, you get 6 hits.
I don't know why, but atheism doesn't seem to be much of a problem outside the US, except maybe in Muslim countries.

I am a Christian. Yes it is tough being picked on and talked about period. This is an anonymous forum for those who choose to remain anonymous. Just thoughts on a screen to shake the complacent.

Yep, that's how arguments work. It's a two way street. Everyone has their own opinions and are allowed to voice them.

Not at all. If you don't go around announcing your religious beliefs or non-beliefs, there is no trouble at all. No one has yet to pick on me because of my (agnostic) beliefs, probably because they make sense!

Christians are persecuted (not as much as they used to). Jews have always been persecuted. Polytheistic religions are persecuted. Its not THAT personal.
