I have sleep problems due to anorexia, but I've found that the more water I drink throughout the day, the easier it is to sleep. Sometimes music helps, sometimes it just distracts. Boring books help. Basically, just do your best to make your body feel relaxed.

yes you may need to make a few changes in your lifestyle. don't drink alot of caffiene (none) about 3 hrs before your bedtime. if stress is an issue read a relaxing book also the ole home remedy drinking warm milk works with some people. taking sleeping pills after a while you will get dependent on them only take once inawhile. another avenue is to go to the docs and explain your isomia to him you could have a sleep disorder. let us know how things go!!!

Stay away from caffeen , Get plenty of water and exercise, If you take any medications take them when you first wake up(many medications if taken too soon before you go to sleep could be the culppret) And when you want to go to sleep make sure your room is very dark. Relax every inch of your body do deep breathing exercises. Do not watch television to fall asleep. And make sure your bedroom is at a comfortable tempreture . Preferable cooler you can always use blankets.

Taking too much of anything causes side effects.
Have you tried some GABA or 5 HTP? Both are amino acids and are safe if taken according to the directions.
Maybe you could ask yourself " Why am I keeping myself from sleeping?" You might be amazed at what your Subconscious mind will come up with.
Deal with the cause and you will then get to sleep.

Well what I can tell you is to make an appointment for you doctor and tell them you have been having sleepless nights and see what meds they give you. Taking to much sleeping pills can cause side effects. Take only what your doctor recommends you to take.

I used to have insomnia. If you have a lot of preocupations, worries, stress or are just depress or sad; you could suffer from insomnia. I went to my doctor and he presecribe Ambien. It helps me sleep plus i wake up refreshed. I didn't get dependent on them, plus thy give it to you for a small period of time until your body and gets it that there is a time for sleep.

Have you discovered what it is that is keeping you awake yet? Perhaps on closer evaluation, you will discover that problem and do something to rectify it.. There is something you can do to prevent it taking place.. I would suggest you spend some time in that area, to correct it. Not avoid it, by taking a sleeping pill.

After taking sleeping pills for long periods, they don' work anymore, you need to get to the core of your problem, and find out why you are not sleeping well.
at the bottom here is a good site to read.
