If this is true then muhammad can't be the messiah because he was an arab and not a jew. (I am assuming king david was a jew)

Jesus was a jew!!!! therefore jesus kicks muhammads ***!

Also a lot of jews have pale skin so jesus could have been black or white - who cares!

Modern day israel has a lot of pale skinned jews. Israel is in the middle east. - I mention this because I thought that someone else would start talking about the middle east.

Jesus was descended from the line of King David through His mother Mary. That is why Joseph was not in the process. Joseph was not Jesus' biological father, only His earthly father. John 3:16 says the God sent His only begotten Son into the world. That should be enough. Emmanuel translated means God among us and that refers to Jesus the Messiah. Jesus did not call John the Messiah, it was the other way around.

Jesus was not a descendant of King David . Jesus was created from the soul of God . His mother was virgin Mary .
Mohammed was an Arab . This is correct . He is not the Messiah
Messiah is Jesus . Jesus is Christian , so he was a Christian not a Jew . Mohammad is the prophet for Muslims , therefore he is a Muselim.
King David : Jew
Jesus = Messiah= Christian and Prophet of Christians
Muhammad = Arab , Prophet of Muslims , the last Prophet from God .

They are all semitists

It isn't true that he was SUPPOSED to be. It is true that He IS the descendant of King David.
Muhammad's line came from Ishmael. Because Abraham was promised by God that the promise would come through the seed of him and Sarah, Issac was the line it was promised through.
Ishmael's mother was promised that her son would be a wild man and that he would war with everyone and everyone would war with him. Out of Muhammad came the Muslim religion and people and the muslim world has vowed that Israel and anyone who backs Israel will be destroyed be them. Unfortunately, they have not read Revelation and at some point Jesus himself will battle and defeat those who attack Israel.
You need to go to Israel and you will be educated. The jewish people are middle eastern of olive coloring not pale skin. I don't know where you are getting your info but Jesus was not black and he was not white.

Jesus the Christ is a descendant of King David.

Islam never claimed that Muhammad is the messiah. He is a prophet, The Prophet, NOT the mesiah.

Please get your facts straight before trying to make a point against Islam. This is the exact kind of questions that non-believers use to bash Christians and call us ignorant.

Yes, the Messiah was prophesied to come from the House of David. Jesus, we are told, came from the House of David. What you believe from there is up to you.

A lot of Jews have pale skin because they came to Israel from Europe after the Holocaust. Jews at the time of Jesus were either Middle Eastern or black (from Ethiopia and other parts of Africa).

Seventeen verses in the New Testament describe Jesus as the "son of David." What does this mean? How could Jesus be the son of David if David lived approximately 1000 years before Jesus? The answer is that Christ was the fulfillment of the prophecy of the seed of David (2 Samuel 7:14-16). Jesus was the promised Messiah, which was of the seed of David. Matthew 1 gives the genealogical proof that Jesus was a direct descendant of Abraham and David through Joseph, Jesus' legal father. The genealogy in Luke chapter 3 gives Jesus' lineage through His mother, Mary. Jesus is a descendant of David, by adoption through Joseph, and by blood through Mary. So, when Christ was referred to as the Son of David, it was meant to refer to His Messianic title as the Old Testament prophesied concerning Him.

Yes, the Messiah must be a descendant of King David. So, this disqualifies Muhammed.

It also disqualifies Jesus.

Since Joseph wasn't his father and since matrilineal (through the mother) lineage is irrelevant, he also isn't a descendant of King David.

Also, the fact that he's dead is a deciding factor as well.

"And you shall call his name Emmanuel..." Isn't that something the angel Gabriel said to Mary when he told her she was going to give birth to Jesus? Jesus IS the emmanuel because he paved the way towards God by giving himself up on the cross, so that we sinners can be saved and enter into glory. Jesus was like a manifestation of God in the flesh, and let's face it: Muhammed wasn't. He did not 'swallow up death in victory' by raising from the dead....he's buried somewhere now, just like all other mortals, while Jesus ascended into heaven to be with God, and lives on today.

Nobody said Muhammad was a messiah, just a prophet. Muslims believe he was, Christians believe things stopped with Jesus.
