All those carbs! Your body dumped a ton of insulin to deal with them and when they were gone your blood sugar plummeted. Next time eat some protein with the flapjacks - bacon, sausage, or some eggs. They will even out your blood sugar so you don't get so sleepy.
No big deal, though. It's Saturday and in most of the U.S. it's too hot to do anything anyway. All praise the siesta!

I've never had that happen, and I've eaten pancakes lots of times for breakfast. Maybe you just didn't get enough sleep the night before? At any rate, you're lucky you can lay down (I assume you were horizontal) and sleep after eating. I have acid reflux/heartburn, and if I don't wait at least 2 hours between eating and laying down, I'm in PAIN!!! :(
BTW, I haven't seen anyone use the word "logy" in ages. I can't believe someone else even KNOWS this word, especially here on Yahoo Answers. Right on for that! :) Someone who is actually literate!! (You spelled it wrong, but that's OK -- at least you know how to use it!)

Pancakes dont like you or maybe your husband is putting something in them that is not supposed to go in it....maybe you should start making your own pancakes and see how that works.

It's all the sugar one eats that is in the syrup. We have insulin in our systems. Just think ? I don't know if your a soda drinker ? But try not having a soda for a few days. You see that you feel so lite. Then drink a soda and you feel so sluggish. It sounds crazy but I find it to be true,

I get that way after my bf makes oatmeal waffles. A good heavy breakfast makes for a good heavy sleep. Maybe it's good for digestion; who wants to run around on a full stomach?

That's the reason why I don't eat anything heavy for breakfast. The food is really filling. I like breakfast for dinner.

some pancake recipes use beer instead of yeast so maybe you had beer pancakes... or your hubby pilled you and took advantage of you when you were passed out
