Thank you for asking your sincere question. It deserves a sincere answer. Jesus is very real and important to Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm sorry that you have some misconceptions about what Jehovah's Witnesses believe.
They pray for forgiveness and repent in being genuinely sorry for what they have done and in displeasing God. They are mindful of the value of the sacrifice that Jesus made for everyone and they continue with their lives dedicated to the creator of all things, Jehovah. If you get a chance, you might want to ask one of Jehovah's Witnesses for a copy of the book named THE GREATEST MAN THAT EVER LIVED printed by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society. The book brings out details about the times and life of Jesus that could help all of us to more deeply appreciate what Jesus did for all of us and the wonderful things he will do in the near future. The book is free.

Is it possible you have Jehovah's Witnesses mixed up with another group? It's a common mistake. Many tend to mix us up with Mormons. (I think they believe that Jesus was just a prophet - a "latter day saint" - and not the messiah.)
As others have already explained, Jehovah's people absolutely believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and the only one through whom we may have our sins forgiven and attain to everlasting life..
However, when we do sin (which is frequently, of course), we pray to Jehovah God through Jesus Christ, on the merits of Jesus' blood which was shed in our behalf.
And, no, we do not sacrifice animals. That type of sacrifice was done away with at Jesus' death. The "sacrifices" we give to God now include our time and energy to share the good news about Jesus Christ, and to teach those who are want to know more about the promises as set out in the Bible.

As A Jehovah's Witness I can tell you that we do firmly believe that Jesus is the Messiah. We believe that forgiveness of sins is available only through putting faith in his sacrifice and following his path of life closely (which is why we preach from house to house just as Jesus did, spreading the message of God's kingdom as he did while on earth.) for more information chk out the official website of Jehovah's witnesses at

My great aunt was a Jehovah's Witness. She totally divided the family with her witnessing because she kept trying to convert people. It was really sad and it upset a lot of us. I was only a child when this happened, but I still remember (very vividly) how they would come around to see us (uninvited) and then harrass us about the "need" to join their religion. After they realized that a) we were not interested, and b) that we would still see them if they did not preach, they lost interest. I remember how upsetting it was for my grandmother to essentially have her sister move out of her life.
Regardless of what they believe, I would never listen to them now. I don't care what they say. NO WAY !!

From what I read, they think that Jesus is the messiah/mediator with God (the one who can forgive their sins) for their famed "144,000." Those 144,000 then become mediators for everyone else. I don't really understand their beliefs, but here is where I found this information:
http://www.watchman.org/jw/jwexpos.htm
the site is a Christian site, not a JW site, so it may be somewhat biased against them.

Hate to say it but it doesn't matter because if they Deny Jesus before men He will deny them before the Father. I hope they repent of their belief that Jesus was just a man before they die.
