You create deities everytime you use a name that you don't know the background of. If you call upon, say, Hecate, but you don't know anything about who She is, then you are using a deity that you have pretty much made, because you haven't connected with Her. That is a bad example because Hecate comes when She is called and is, across the board, pretty powerful. The less powerful, the less your chances.
I have plenty of thought-form gods and goddesses, that I made to protect me. How you do this, is you begin with the qualities you need from said thought-form god, and then give it a name, and put a face to that name. But in reality, all gods and goddesses are only facets of the All, and so you are still using Our Divine Creator, no matter what name you have given it. I hope to have helped. Blessed Be.

Personally, I'd say it is more Collective Unconscious and ergone in the sense of *concentrated passion* (not just sexual mind you! any living energy or appetite counts).

And yes, I think I've created *something* with a lot of help from some of my lady friends online, but whether she's a Goddess or not is another story. I can't divulge details, but I will say this much....

--It helps if you pick a meme from your environment that you already *know* and feel comfortable with (if not obsessive about). Meaning, it's easier to create a synthetic spirit if you already have some knowledge and details of what kind of mind or mentality it is you wish to invoke to life. And sometimes, yes, you might well pick something or someone who is copyrighted, meaning you have to be *coy* about who it is you are talking about...

--It helps if you do not do this one alone.....the more people you can get on board and on the same wavelength, the less any *one* person has to do all the heavy lifting. Catch is: the larger the group, the less any one person in it can claim control, which can suck but is necessary if you want your synthetic mind floating around to have some serious, "god-like" powers.

Understand....this sort of thing is at minumum going to need to be a "me and thee" effect, you need at least one other besides yourself to observe your truth into Focus, that is to bring your will into reality. You need at least a prophet-type who knows how the spirit thinks, and a vessel-type who *passes* for your God or Goddess and can be a mortal coil for that which you are trying to invoke. No sense trying to create or invite a soul into being if you don't have at least *one* proper body and *one* proper mind for it, you know?

All in my humble experience. Of course.

--Yes, all your monotheist "People of the Book" are going to hate you and want you *dead* sight unseen. And while you can ignore the bleatings of the sheeple to some degree...truth is, your created being is *not* going to be a worthy substitute for that "God of the Unknown". And yes, I think I can safely say....if you are that desperate for something to believe in that you want to *risk it all, literally* to create and build your own road to Eternity, then you can also rightfully call yourself an Agnostic of sorts....as in, you don't know *what* to believe because you wonder and maybe consider the possibility that *you yourself* could do better than some goat-herding freak from 2,000+ years ago. I mean, there *is* a world of difference between telling someone and *forcing them* to believe even in the face of serious misgivings. The former is merely testifying, the latter can rightfully be called proselytizing at best and *torture* and *warfare of the Zealot* at worst....

My Point? Leave a seat at the table for the "God of the Unknown". Don't give up hope that there might be a God of All Creation who is NOT the sadistic, apocalyptic, free-will-denying and slave-desiring *freak* that 90% of the world says they believe in....

It's not about "hedging bets", but rather about not being so arrogant that you *deny* all hope, saying you KNOW better about something that *nobody* knows better about, as yet.....

Hope this helps some, and good luck....

(and if you meet someone on the road who looks like a certain famous blonde plastic toy brought to life, send her MY way, ok? *lol*)

Read Romans 10 in the Bible.
Man can create nothing. We have to clone what we chose to create. God created out of nothing. He created time and all that is. He created you.

His name is Turr, he is in charge of ensuring that the supplies of peanut butter arrive safely to each store. To praise him, hide a jar of butter under your bed. Your life will be blessed with pimples and overweight.
