But who created the first bacteria?

No, I believe in god

No. I actually represent evolution with two letters, a "B" and an "S." If something is perfect, nothing needs changing. God made everything perfect as it was, no need to make changes.

Who created the first bacteria? Simple, right after Adam and Eve sinned, God created bacteria because of the curse.

Not many people know this, but just before Darwin died, he said he regretted he had anything to do with evolution. Right now, Darwin is sitting in ferverant heat, pondering on how he could have done it differently. too late now.

Evolution is not a matter of 'belief'.

In science, a 'theory' is not just 'an idea', as the scientifically ignorant seem to think it is, in common parlance... it is an explanatory framework for a set of observed facts... a description, or model, of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same sort, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation. In the case of the 'Theory of Evolution', the OBSERVED FACTS are changes to the genetic makeup of populations of organisms, over time. The explanation is genetic drift (statistical variations in the genetic within a population) and mutations (random), operated on by natural selection (NOT random). In other words, "The non-random survival of randomly varying replicators (Richard Dawkins)." NONE of this is in dispute among scientists. It represents a consistent body of scientific fact extending back almost 150 years, which is well supported by genetics and by the fossil record. There has NEVER been anything found to refute it.

Evolution is strictly a biological science. It has nothing whatsoever to do with or to say about the origins of the universe or the world. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the origins of life. It has only to do with changes to the genetic makeup of populations of organisms, over time.

The people who vociferously dispute evolution are generally those whose livelihood depends on having large flocks of scientifically ignorant believers (sheeple) who do not question what they are told... they merely parrot it. If those sheeple were to actually begin to think for themselves, and investigate the scientific facts with an open and critical mind, they would at some point begin to realize things like "Hey... this idea that the earth and humans were created over 6 days somewhere between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago is absolute horseshit. The Universe is around 14 billion years old, and the earth is around 4.7 billion years old." Or: "Wow... look at that... there is absolutely no evidence in the geological record that there was ever a world-wide flood... and there is plenty of evidence that there was not."

There's nothing to believe in: it is proven scientific fact at the level of bacteria, and virtually proveable - except to those who don't understand it - when applied to other models... As for creating the first bacteria, it's irrelevant - they still evolve, and evolution does not negate the theory of a Creator... Why do I bother, go and read a book.

almost everyone here answered how i thot a true idiot would answer....evolution is not proven, its a theory, u would have to have more faith to believe evolution than u would to believe in god, atleast i blelieve i came from something, second law of thermal dynamics clearly almost completly disproves the whole theory, how can u say that a reptile turned into a bird???? a bird has a complicated respritory system so that it can fly at high altitudes, and look at the human eye!!! it has the ability to see spherical and round objects, depth perception, and the ability to take in certain amounts of light, u really believe that all of that happen by a random mutation??? for those who answered, no, i beleive in god, good job, u guys can obviously see the obvious!

HaYaBuSa,
(Nice bike, by the way). I absolutely do believe in evolution, just not the same kind as the atheists. I have experienced it firsthand. It works like this. When we approach God, as humble children, and invite Him into our hearts, He sends His Spirit into us, and bonds with us. We become new creatures, part mortal, part Immortal. The old values of materialism and fear fall away. Love and Wisdom become the foundation of all our choices. We begin to evolve, literally, into spiritual creatures, a species we have not seen before on this world, with the exception of Jesus. Is it evolution? Without a doubt. It is one species, changing into another, due to a change of environment. Inner environment.

Evolution has no been proven. Micro evolution or small changes has been to a degree been proven, but macro evolution - one thing changing to anothe rhas never happened. It is a religion and a flase one at that. Just check out a "leap second" on google. It is proof that evolution cannot exist.

yes, to answer your first question.

as for your second question, "who created the first bacteria?", this is not a question about evolution. it is about abiogenesis. i'll give you a quick answer though.

the simplest bacteria alive today are for more complex than the first organism. the bacteria of today evolved from the first organism just as we did.

the first organism could easily form on its own without the help of any sort of intelligent creator. it was probably little more than RNA caught in a bubble made of lipids. RNA can replicate by creating templates.

like,,, you know how certain atoms are attracted to one another due to charge and the number of electrons in their valence shell?? well, molecules do the same thing. adenine and uracil always attract. guanine and cytosine always attract. so they can use this to build templates. for example,, if a strand of RNA reads, "acgcuaaga", then it will naturally form complimentary RNA that reads "ugcgauucu". this second strand of RNA can then easily go on to form a complimentary version of itself which will be identical to the original strand (i.e.- "acgcuaaga"). so RNA can replicate based solely on the principles of chemistry.

RNA can also code for proteins and enzymes. these proteins and enzymes are what help the replicating molecules to survive and are also what speed up the replication process. --- DNA probably came much later and was created by RNA. then, since the DNA could hold more information, it probably took over as the main information storage unit.

it's impressive stuff really, but not quite so impressive that we need a god in order to explain it.

edit,

to HELP,

what are you talking about?? what do leap seconds have to do with anything?????????????

--------------------------------------------------------

to WILL O' THE....,

you really think that you are a different species from non-believers??? so does that mean that you could not impregnate an atheist woman?? because, BY DEFINITION, if you can knock her up, then you guys are the same species. i think what the asker was trying to ask you is "do you believe in BIOLOGICAL evolution?". no offense, but your usage of this double entendre isn't clever., it's just unhelpful.

------------------------------------------------

to GARY,

which part of the bible exactly are you talking about???

part of the bible says that non-human animals came first, and then humans.

"GEN 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
GEN 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

but another part of the bible says that humans came first, then the other animals.

"GEN 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
GEN 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof."

here,, check out this website to see why the bible is a load of crap that should never be trusted.

It's hard to answer that, since a belief in it isn't required - it's already been proven. Only the mechanism of evolution is in theory.

2006-08-05 16:08:17 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

Evolution is not something to be believed in, any more than gravity is something to be believed in.

In fact - we have a lot more evidence for evolution than we do for gravity.

Evolution is not a theory - it is a law.

Yes, but God used it. In the Bible, the created animals/plants are listed in order of which they evolved.
