Vodou is the culmination of various African based religions. It is a religion that focuses on the ancestors, the lwa, and God. There is only one God called Bondye (Good God). The lwa are the equivalent of saints. They are the intermediaries for God.
To many christians, and many people for that fact that unaware of what vodou is will consider it evil. It is nothing but. Don't believe what you see in movies it is the farthest from the truth.
