At that age its only attraction and not appreciation for internal beauty, intelligence, sense of humour, spontaniety etc. Its just looks that counts but as you grow older, the former takes precedence

Most guys only ask the popular girls out because they might have heard something about them from someone else or they think that by asking them out it will make them look better. Don't worry about yourself or the other girls who don't get asked out yet...they will when the time is right. There is someone out there for everyone! I didn't have my first boyfriend until I was 18 and I am glad about that. Not having a boyfriend when I was younger allowed me to figure out who I really was and what I was looking for in a guy, really looking for. I was able to see my friends go through relationships and realize that I didn't want a guy like that. Anyway, don't sweat it.

It is all about the body language and the willingness to try and just carry on a conversation. The dumbest guy in the world will notice if you smile at him while you talk, and sometimes laugh with him when he braves a comment or two.
If you can project that you are not afraid to be looked at, you are much more likely to get a guy to talk who is or is not afraid of girls. You do have the upper hand on any guy worth dating, you know.

That's weird. I'm not popular at all, and three guys asked me out last school year. The thing was, I was just doing what I do every day. I didn't even notice that they were interested. And that's what I'm going to do this school year.

Don't worry about dating! Who needs guys? But just don't turn out to be a lez. We live in a shallow society, it's not your fault. Just do the right thing, work on studying first and after you get into college, there are more mature guys for you who don't care about looks as much (there are few, but it is possible). Being educated is more important that having a love life, you'll find someone.

Because guys (boys) in high school are at about 5th grade level! As guys move up in age (about 25yrs old) they become smarter! I would have never asked out my girlfriend when I was in high school! She is not only beautiful, she is 12yrs younger than me! But as I got older and wiser, I don't care If I asked a girl out and she said no! You just move on to the next one....

because usually the popular girls get asked out first, so they say yes, and then guys remember who says yes so they ask the ppl that have already been asked out because they think that they will say yes cuz theyve said yes b4

because guys are still young and shallow. they look just at how a girls looks and not the personality. they will in time come to see the over all package.
