my friend kind of has the same problem. but first you should tell him the reason why. say you need time from the relationship makes it sound like you already like another guy and he might go into a furious rage. And always tell him in person guys can get depressed if they find out from e-mail or by phone. Hope my advice helps.

Well there is no easy way but you just have to tell them and try to let them down gently - give them an easy explanation that they can understand and focus their anger on - like you have met someone else - don't tell them that you have fallen out of love with them or stuff like that.

telll him maybe we need a lil break or sumthing nice when u see each other but tell him to promise not to flipp out tho about it

Tell him that it's time that you both moved on. Why should you have to be with someone that you don't want to.
