theres no main terminal @ JFK

you just go straight to the terminal where your airline is @
(i.e if you're flying Asiana... you'd go straight to Terminal 4)

when you walk into an airport, there will be long counters with different people working there. this is where you check in and give them your baggage. keep any carry ons (bags you want with you on the plane), but they have to be smaller bags. then you will get your ticket. you will most likely go through security (i know at the airport near me, if you dont have a ticket, they wont let you go through security..you have to wait outside of it) then find your gate number and go there. you may want to call the airport to see how early you need to check in. since 9/11 its been a couple hours, but at jfk it might be different. also, if you dont check in early enough they may not let you on that plane!

You have to go to the terminal where your airline is. That is where you do your baggage check in and get your boarding ticket.

After that you proceed to the security gate then go to your flight gate.

PS have a nice flight

At JFK you MUST go to the "main terminal", then be directed to your gate. this is how it works in USA
