Jesus is Jesus the Son of god, God is God the Father of Jesus, of you and I, as well the Father of the entire humanity. is nothing wrong with calling Jesus God, although technically some may believed that this is wrong though my self Ii have not problems Loving and worshipping God the father and Jesus the Son, as been God also, because I know such as God the Fathers desires for his Son to be and become. <>

Christians do not say that. The cults of Mormonism and Jehovah's witness say that. .
Jesus is never recorded in the Bible as saying the exact words, “I am God.” That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” At first glance, this might not seem to be a claim to be God. However, look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement, “We are not stoning you for any of these, replied the Jews, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood Jesus’ statement to be a claim to be God. In the following verses, Jesus never corrects the Jews by saying, “I did not claim to be God.” That indicates Jesus was truly saying He was God by declaring, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am!" Again, in response, the Jews take up stones in an attempt to stone Jesus (John 8:59). Why would the Jews want to stone Jesus if He hadn’t said something they believed to be blasphemous, namely, a claim to be God?
John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.” John 1:14 says that “the Word became flesh.” This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, "...Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased the church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!
Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him. Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior - Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1). In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, "But about the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom."
In Revelation, an angel instructed the Apostle John to only worship God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus receives worship (Matthew 2:11; 14:33; 28:9,17; Luke 24:52; John 9:38). He never rebukes people for worshiping Him. If Jesus were not God, He would have told people to not worship Him, just as the angel in Revelation had. There are many other verses and passages of Scripture that argue for Jesus’ deity.
The most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected - proving His victory over sin and death.

Jesus is the Son Of God. He was the main helper in Creating everything. The Bible shows this in many scriptures. Jesus being the Son Of God and sitting at the right hand of God.

The bible never said you will born in hell if you called Jesus God.
Jesus himself said anyone who had seen him had also seen the father period.
The bible also said that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word WAS GOD and that word became flesh!!!
Jesus is God in the flesh or in human form. When he returns to the father he returns to be a part of God himself.
What God did was to take a part of himself to become man. After his job was finished the man returned to God so Jesus is God.
This idea of Jesus not being God comes from mormonism and JW. Because they never go deeper into the scriptures.
For those christians who say Jesus is not God this is one thing they lack. By saying Jesus is not God but only the son of God, they are saying that Jesus did not come from God and when he died he did not return back to God. Because a person who believes that Jesus is God believes that Jesus actually came from God. And when he died and rose up again (defeating death) he went back to God and attached himself to God.

The bible can be interpreted in many ways and you have to read it completely to fully understand it. In John 13:30 Jesus says if you've seen him then you've seen the Father. Taken alone, I would say this means that they are the same person.
However throughout the four gospels and later in Galatians (and I think Romans) Jesus repeatedly says that he was sent by someone greater than himself. If Jesus is God, who is greater than he is? Now the explanation I've heard is that Jesus was on earth so at the time God (the father) was greater than he was. But after Jesus died and went to heaven that means he was God again in this scenario and therefore equal again to God (the Father), yet Paul writes again that Jesus was sent by someone greater than he was (in Galatians for sure, I think Romans as well). So that theory goes out the window (it was a reaching thing anyway, just trying to justify the belief rather than seeing the Bible say it).
So it looks like the Bible contradicts itself. But if it is the truth (I'm going assuming it is because you believe it is so there is no reason to go into why I think it is the truth) how can it contradict itself? We must go back and re-examine the contradicting scriptures. If we go back to John 13:30 (if you've seen me, then you've seen the Father), we can re-interpret it as meaning that they look the same, they talk the same, they teach the same, they have the same beliefs. So in essence, if you've seen Jesus then you can have seen the Father because they are so much alike.
But then who is the Father? If you go to Psalms 83:18 in the old King James Version of the Bible (the New King James Version has removed it, an odd thing to do for those who claim to believe the Bible is the truth is to change it when you re-translate it). But if you go to Psalms 83:18 it says that God's name is Jehovah. The Bible repeatedly refers to Jesus as the son in the New Testament, so that is why there are so many Christians who say Jesus is not God but rather God's son. Important to be sure (in fact Jesus is the key to God's plan to restore mankind), but not God Himself.

hi, jane :) It's interesting that I do see a couple of posts that say that Jesus is not God because he is the Son of God. This shows a lack of faith in the Trinity. The Trinity means that there is One God in 3 Persons, Jesus being the Second Person of the Trinity. A lack of faith in the Trinity by someone who calls him or herself a Christian may be because the person doesn't understand it, but a true Christian does believe in the Trinity as the Apostle's Creed says.

I don't know what "Christians" you're talking about, but the whole Basis of Christianity is that Jesus Christ as God came down to Earth to save us all. If you don't believe that Jesus is God, then you are not a Christian.

Jesus Christ is the SON of God. They are two of the three in one, the Trinity. The Father (God), The Son (Jesus Christ), & The Holy Spirit. The best way I can explain it is they are all on the same level one is not greater then the other. Hope that helps

Jesus is called Emanuel in the Bible, which means 'God come to earth'. An earthly woman bore Jesus from God's seed in order for God to take human form so he could go through the things human beings endure;and, then be sacrificed in order that humans would be able to go to heaven as there reward for following God's laws while on this earth. God literally walked more than a mile in our shoes. He is a great God!

Because in the bible, it says that Jesus told everyone that he is the son of god, and ALWAYS refers to god as his father. "My Father" and "Our Father".
And God said, that he gave his only beckon son for our sins.
When they said, a "holy spirit" was born, it did not mean God, it wasn't until MUCH later, in Palms, that god was considered the holy spirit, and later incorperated into the King James Version of the bible.
Also, Jesus said that we are all children of god. The lord is "our sheppard" and we are the sheep.... He did not make himself out to be any more special than anyone else.
Jesus's entire life, was to show that he was just like everyone else, and that every single person was equal, and he was no exception. he washed the feet of his apostiles, to prove that everyone was equal...
I Believe, that Jesus was just a really incredible man who had a teaching that was lost, with a power struggle over religions.
Christians/Catholics, Merged, Paganism into the bible, to make one religion. They had a HUGE meeting, with all representatives, priests and organizers, around the world, and tried to devine jesus as much as possible. Which he would have disproved, had he been alive.
Thats when the distortion of Jesus being god, or Jesus being the son of god, kept flipping, it was the one thing that the religions couldn't decide on... How should we symbolize Jesus?
It didn't really matter, in the end, Religion has the same purpose, power, and control over it's people. Every decision you will ever make in your life, you will question if you will go to hell for it, or be pleasing god....
But that's just my personal Opinion, and if you READ the bible, it will show proof of it. Just read EVERY SINGLE qoute from Jesus, EVERY SINGLE thing he says, was to show that every persion was equal, weither that be, handicapped, elderly, rich or poor, sinner or Saint.... including himself.
It also says in the bible, that Jesus will sit along side his father, in heaven. If god created Jesus, then did Jesus create god? God created people? then are we not distance sisters and brothers of Jesus? If god is jesus, and jesus is god, and the holy spirit all at once, Then why would god refer to himself as his own father? and his own Son? Unless God is crazy, which i dont blame him with all those religious nuts out there.
Just do yourself a HUGE favor. Read the bible, and you'll get your answer.
Oh, side note....
(People fear god SOOOO much, that they wont even put his name Jehoviah in the bible, or say it, because they are afraid of mispronouncing it. I'm not a jehovahs' witness, but God introduces himself as jehovah in ANY bible, many times.) I still call him God, even though thats a pretty Dull name, to give someone who kinda created everything.
