Why don't you check your book from the HP book. I think you need to use the cable or dail up or DSL internet that can allows AIM works.
I think you can going to website name www.meebo.com. This website don't need lets you to downland any AIM on your laptop, just left them from downland.

Sometimes things like these are too much for laptops. I know on mine aim takes forever to start up and will shut down after like a minute. Also, do you have any pop up blockers or firewalls?

it may in case you have a inexpensive computing device THAT DOESNT HAVE a number of RAM OR A LOW PROCESSOR yet DONT hassle DOWNLOADING IT. circulate to google and seek for objective there are a number of web content that alow you to get on objective wihtout downloading it. objective is a waist to acquire.
