My cycle is every 32 days, my last period was july 20th. i know when your ovulation your cervix should be high and open. From the ovualtion calculator it says i should be ovulating right now. Why does the cervix feel low and hard?

Actually, sexual arousal is what makes everything "high and open." I don't think ovulation changes the way things are, just the feeling of the fluids down there.

It can take several cycles to get the hang of what soft/high/open means for you personally. If you haven't been checking every day, you don't have anything to compare to, which also makes it hard to figure out what is going on. Also ovulation predictors usually operate on the assumptions of a 14 day luteal phase (time from ovulation to menstruation). If yours is longer or shorter, you won't line up w/the predictor. Also possible is that this is a wacky cycle and it won't be exactly 32 days... you won't know until after it's over. (And no, you aren't crazy soft/hi/open does mean fertile while hard/lo/closed means infertile...see link below.

I don't know about how you can feel your cervix. If you are asking about ovulation to either get pregnant or not get pregnant all I know is that 14 to 16 days - starting the first day you menstruate - are the days that you can get pregnant. I used this schedule during my fertile years and it worked out perfectly. If you feel a fullness or weight down there it might be a bladder problem.

Anytime other than pregnancy your cervix is hard;During pregnancy it gets high & soft.

It will feel lower and your discharge should be really thin; thinner than any other time during the month. It makes it easier for the sperm to travel in.
