Hospitals are full of the devout believers, yet many of us non-believers are walking around (very prosperously I might add). Why would a just God not reward his flock with benefits, and smite hethens like myself for blaspheming His name? I think it's because he's made up. If not, then prove me wrong.

Nobody can prove you wrong but you have a valid point. I believe that something caused everything to come into being (including suffering) but the "why?" is the ultimate question that can't be answered. Religion doesn't have a satisfactory answer for the question of suffering - they say it is part of God's plan for us, whatever that means.

Unfortunately, to non-believers such as yourself what we believers say often carries no weight. We can tell you that pain and suffering teach us lessons and that we learn to care for others and have compassion for them, but will that really change your mind? In the end, it's all a part of God's plan. Everything happens for a reason, even pain and suffering; they can bring good things into a person's life, you just have to wait it out first. Things always turn out ok in the end, but if you hadn't had something wrong in the first place, who's to say you would have gotten there? You wouldn't be where you were today without some sort of trials in your life. They make us stronger people.

Suffering is a part of living.
Being here on this planet puts you in the situation.
Then there is the WHY?
WHY? WHY?
This question has been in men's minds from forever.

Suffering has a way of putting the pride out of us.
I heard it said, pain is a great teacher.
Perhaps this place is a great school.
The lessons are prepared for each one of us individually.
To what end you might ask.
To make us better beings, to prepare us for what is to come.
To beat the crap out of us.
Because we have a lot of crap in us.
Because you are on top of it now, doesn't mean it will stay that way.
I speak from experience.
I was a very bad guy.
Was as arrogant as you could be.
I was my own God.
Nothing could ever do me in.
Then it came--wow. The pain was excruciating.
All of a sudden, the god syndrome went away.
Then I seemed to get the picture, almost like a voice but not a voice. You exist because I WANT YOU TO. What now little man? What can you do now?
Let's see your magic.
Oh! it doesn't work anymore.
MY MY....

You are functioning under the belief that the almighty ruler of the universe exists to make your life happy and fun?

Not likley.

God is not some sort of great big gum-ball dispencer in the sky, sitting arouns waiting to give you the things you desire.

On a related note, perhaps it would be wise to re-consider how it is that you defign good and bad. Is any experiance truely better than any other, or just diffrent?

So if an experiance is diffrent, then shouldent God want his creation want his creation to have as many experiances as possible - including those you label as "bad?"

Let me ask you a question.

If you were the wealthiest man in the world, do you think someone would love you for just you or because of your wealth?

God rains on the just and the unjust. We are called to believe in God and walk in a certain way with Him. He isn't going to "make a deal" with us and just give us everything to walk His way.

Otherwise everyone would be following Him, but not the reasons He wants.

Understand?

We were blessed with the greatest country in the world. We were founded on Christian beliefs. I also know many believers who are very successful and non-believers in the hospital. I would give you scripture as to why Christians suffer but you won't believe anything from the Bible even if it makes sense.

I can't "prove" you wrong, nor do I care to. You're entitled to your beliefs.

But it's my opinion that it's pretty easy to blame God, since God makes a really big target. But the fact is, that we are the authors of our own experiences, via God's gift of free will and hence, the universal law of attraction.

The universal law of attraction maintains that the vibrations we emit into the world via our conscious or unconscious beliefs, thoughts, emotions, words (written and verbal) and actions, and whether they are positive or negative, love-based or fear-based, lead to the events that we experience in return, in one form or another.

These vibrations occur singly, by individuals and collectively, by societies and cultures.

It was humanity's collective vibrations of fear and hatred that led to disasters, natural or unnatural, including war and terrorism, disease, pestilence, starvation etc. etc.

Individually, it is the reason we get ill, or suffer at all.

God gives free will and does not revoke or interfere with it, so it is a gift with a double-edged sword, so to speak. Once given, it is our responsibility. Not God's

Hospitals are also filled with evil people and there are many prosperous Believers. You only see what you want to see in order to justify your choices. Our reward is not in this life. I'll explain it to you in the next one. Oops. You won't be there. Sorry to hear that.

Thats because you are too dumb to understand that there are christians who are millionaires and who are healthy as well.

You are generalizing and saying that christians are not well taken care off.

Another thing is that believers are also very patient their time for sucess will come. They unbelievers will also get their own reward when the race is completed.

Did it ever occur to you that Satan might have given all this to you, and not God. Satan can do works that seem to come from God, but quite the contrary is true. And maybe God follows the old adage of give someone enough rope and he will hang himself.
