Mexico needs to just fight a little harder. They need to stop electing corrupt leaders, and push for programs that will help them out of poverty.

OMG, I nearly answered (deleted)... however, I put the restraints on ... I will just say this ... a very good motivational factor for Mexico would be to get their 20 million or so people back who are now illegally in the U.S. ... the lack of revenue from those illegals into the coffers of the Mexican government, plus closure and patrolling of the border, would be incentive enough for the Mexican administration to start looking at the Mexican situation with fresh eyes ... Mexico is the 13th richest country in the world, they have the ways and means to sort their country out if they wanted to ... but just as our administration doesn't give two hoots for the American citizens, the Mexican administration doesn't seem to care about theirs either ... much easier for them to dump their "problem" in our back yard and cash in on illegal money flowing back into Mexico ...

Interesting that the U.S. needs to intervene when they are allowing the majority to be here illegally. It needs to be only for the people in Mexico. Have a working welfare and medical system that would allow the hard workers to support themselves in a efficient manner. They should have a system similar to the U.S and have a economic base that can support the many people instead of the division of rich getting the profits and the poor receiving nada.

Mexico can never be fixed. Only thing for Mexico left is send people over here to US. In the mean time they mess up everything like they already did in Mexico.

The system of corruption is so deeply rooted, that apart from war, nothing will ever change it.
Mexicans must face and confront the fact that its govt. will never change unless there is a revolution, which means lives would be lost. I am not sure that country is ready for that....It is also deeply rooted in the culture....I don't think you or most Americans understand the Mexican culture....
Mexicans tend to be pacifists.....They truly avoid conflict, at any cost, to the detriment of there own freedoms and rights.....Its sad, but apart from a civil war or a change in there culture, nothing will change and America would be wise to stay out of it...

The U.S. can't fix Mexico, the U.S. can't fix itself. Maybe if we spent more time worrying about how to fix our country and less about every other nation in the world, we'd be better off!

It needs better values put into the people themselves on a whole. With better values they could do a lot on their own.

The first thing they need to do is come to the U.S. and gather up all their citizens and return them to their homes.
