It depends on your ages. If she's 21 or over and mature and ready for that sort of thing I'd say to go for it. If she's already your partner then of course you should be emotional with her.

I'm 19 and in 5 weeks I'm marrying a man that's 30. It totally depends on where she in is life and if you two are on the same level or at least close to it. I said 21 (even though I'm 19...) because my age difference is just 11 years and the fact that I can't go out to bars with him or things like that is a bit uncomfortable at times honestly... just slightly... but people in his life that know me love us together and are very happy for us regardless of the age difference and can see how the relationship works... If you're 43 and she's 19 that might be a bit more strange.

I see you said 'is it a good idea'... I'd say that it is a good idea as long as you keep what is best for her in mind, care about her and don't get controling. If you honestly think that this would be good for her as well as for you then yes.

You would have to be prepared for that awkward father/daughter mix up type thing. My fiance does look about 26 and I look about 22 so people generally assume we are a couple despite our age difference when we're in a restaurant or walking along the street... but honestly it doesn't really matter what other people think.

Good luck... If you really care about her I hope things work out wonderfully for the both of you. Larger age differences aren't always easy but if it's the right person then it's totally worth it.

I would look at your reasons. Do you just want to feel young again?

I would talk it over with your partner. Chances are s/he isn't quite to the emotional level that you are. I would take things VERY slowly and let the other person live a little as well.

Are you talking about a romantic involvement? If so, then it would depend on the 2 people. If they have similar interests, if they can get along well and have a good time together, if they don't care about the age difference...then why not?

Only if you don't mind ending up looking (and feeling) like your partners grandmother or grandfather.

If you had to ask the question then you are obviously not mature enough for the relationship.
