I Can do the make-up. Except can't do a pin-curl. Any suggestions? Also, How Long Does My hair Have to Be? Right Now my Avatar has about the same length, very layered.

My mom used to pin-curl her hair until about 10/15 years ago, and I was still amazed watching her. If it involves doing something at the back of my head, I couldn't cuz I couldn't see it and co-ordinate my hands in the mirror back there lol.

You hair the way it is should be fine. What my mom did was take a small section of hair, curl it around her finger, then lied it flat against her scalp and put a bobby-pin in, from one side of the curl to the other, to hold it in place. And if it isn't too much hair, you won't be left with a bobby-pin crease.

And that's what I understood to always be a pin curl.

Have fun. :)

You can't roll a pin curl? Try the sponge rollers or Spoolies to make it easier on yourself. Make sure the hair is wet, and NOT too long. Can you imagine how long it will take with pin curls? Sheesh.

Yes, I prefer the 20s/30s. Love those decades. The ladies' styles in a Marx Brothers movie is a good example. So feminine.

I came into existance in the late 50's like December 29, 1959. I don't know what the hairstyles were in the 40's but I like my hair to be easy to style in the mornings before going to work. Some hairstylist have books that you may be able to choose from.
