Well thier diet is generally small worms, hellgamites, water bugs, crickets and any small bug that happens in front of them.
So for bait to use to catch them.... wax worms, small rubber or live worms, maggots (rubber or real), grub worms and crickets.... and small pieces of bread rolled into a small ball, and canned corn.

they will eat anything. their mouths are kinda small but any bait or lure with the hook size in the 8 to 12 range will take them all. I have caught them with a cigarette butt, worms, flys, lures,(the super lights) just about anything in the fridge. Have fun.
