Why cant you just leave everyone alone and let them believe what they want to believe or not believe? I think everyone has the right to believe in what ever they want to. It shouldnt matter if you r christian, athiest, catholic, muslim, agnostic, just to name a few. Stop insulting everyone. No one is a retard for what they believe, if they r not hurting you, then why hurt them with hurtful words? You may say they r hurting you by them telling you that you should believe in this or that, but they r not. They r just stating what they know as facts, what they have been taught. You have a choice not to listen or read what they have to say. Just walk away. No since in being rude and putting people down.

I just get so sick of seeing people be mean to eachother. We r who we r. If you dont like it, tough.

In no way am I saying you should not ask why a person believes what he believes, but there is a right and wrong way to go about it.

So I should have worded my question a lil different. I should have said why do people get pick on for what they believe, when it shouldnt matter? All that should matter is the type of person they r.

The reason is simple. There are some Christians, and I admit it is probably a small but vocal percentage, want the laws of the Unites Stated to reflect their beliefs so that other have to be forced to behave in a certain way.

For example if a these Christian think gambling is a sin, it is not enough for the Christian himself to stay out of the casino. He needs to outlaw casinos so no one else can gamble either.

This is the same for gay marriage, abortion, drinking (in some places) and other social issues.

The only exception seem to be smoking. They strongly oppose any bans on smoking in the name of "personal freedom" . Gambling is bad and should be outlawed. Smoking is bad, but it's a personal choice. What's up with that?

I agree that everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want to. But I wonder just how much "choice" you have had. It is an undisputed fact that Christian doctrine is dead set on "teaching" you what it wants you to believe. The Vatican is very, very rich, one of the richest establishments on the globe, I believe. Yes, you were "taught", you can say that again. Belief systems are mental processes, that's all. You filter your brain in certain ways to get you through life. It's just that it's being recognized more and more that religious doctrine has some very bad things about it, that causes much pain and suffering, and death, to poor innocents. So, to answer your question, people are just tired of tipsey-toeing around this particular brand of closed-mindedness. Yes, we are what we are, but Christians think they're just a little better than everyone else. I mean, after all, THEY get to go to Heaven.

Because they want to tear down Christians to bring themselves up. Too bad for them because it actually brings Christians to grow in God and learn more about him. But it's not only the Christians they pick on, it's also the Muslims. And i have also seen that we Christians sometimes get fed up and start throwing things at other people. God loves all of us, so we need to show that love for God first loved us. God cares just as much for non-believers as Christians. I don't understand why, but that's what is so amazing about God that he would love those who insult him and spit on him. But the non-believers have the right to throw insults at us, it's their sorry choice. Just look at what God wants you to learn through their attitude. He wants us to learn not to be like them, instead of giving back insults give words of love, and those question make you want to know the answer. See there is a lot of good in something so bad. That's what God does, he turns something old and ugly and makes it beautiful. That's what he did with us wretched sinners, we were ugly, but God made us Beautiful!

they are just playing with each other. When they get the stakes out and start playing with matches it is just remembering the good old days. As for the Idea that the religious are harmless just look at the laws they are trying to get passed. There are people out there who want to make not being Christian a felony offence carrying a prison term.

Perhaps if "some Christians", like one guy last night, didn't come on here as a means of giving a lecture on how he's right and everyone who doesn't conform to his Christian beliefs is an idiot ... then maybe there'd be more peace.

The people who pick on christians are never aware that they are being used by satan. The bible says satan has blinded them.

And christians dont pick on people they teach on the word of God and do what the bible commands them to do. It is a requirement.

Jesus even said that the christians will be persecuted by unbelievers because of him. So i am not suprised. Thats whats happening.
