I am attending a wedding later today for the daughter of my boss who is getting married for the second time. I attended the first wedding and gave her a generous cash gift. What is the etiquette for giving a gift this time around? Do I need to give her as much as I did last time? What have you given as a second wedding gift?

first of all this the daughter of your boss, not a relative . . . if you already gave her something the first time she got married, you are pretty much set . . . aside from a card with best wishes in it, I personally wouldn't give her anything (if it were a family member, I would enclose some cash but less than what I had given the first time around)

From I do take two, a site devoted to 2nd marriages.

Personally, since you were generous the first time, I see no reason, other than you feeling an obligation as it's your boss's daughter, for you to get a gift.

i'd circulate with "no present mandatory." It shall we human beings comprehend that they are in a position to come again to savour the 'social gathering' yet in addition a modern would be effective. a minimum of thats the way i'd take it if i became into to obtain an invitation that mentioned this way of word. asserting "no presents please" is a significant sign for persons to no longer convey presents, which persons for the main section do convey presents besides, the 1st strategies is a extra effective decision of words. desire this facilitates! additionally, congrats on the marriage!

I don't think i'd give as much this time. I'd probably only give about half what you did the first time. You're really under no obligation to give the same amount.
