Sounds good to me. However, eating something BEFORE you workout might be more reasonable. Considering switching teh toast and egg, wait 30 min, then workout and eat PROTEIN after that. But um, you realize you have the time's quite off up there? You can't workout for an hr n half from 7 to 8...heh.

I'd say you have more carbs and protein than fruits and vegi's. I'm not sure what is included in a "portioned low fat dinner" or what's included in your "workout" so it's hard to say. Check out the USDA's food pyramid to get an understanding of what types of foods you should be eating everyday.

I follow the Mayo Clinic Healthy Weight for Everybody diet plan and am losing about 2 lbs a week. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1893005348/sr=8-1/qid=1154800734/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-6000907-5676067?ie=UTF8. Here is my menu for today to give you an idea.

Breakfast: 1 whole grain bagel
3 tbsp fat-free cream cheese
1/2 c. orange juice
Water

Lunch: Egg salad sandwich (one hard-boiled egg, chopped onion, 1 tbsp reduced-calorie mayo, served on 2 slices whole-grain bread)
1 small pear
1 c skim milk
water

Dinner: 3 oz halibut topped with vegetable salsa (1 medium diced tomato, 1/4 c each diced tomatillo and red oinion, and 1 diced jalapeno pepper)
1 c. sliced cucumber
2 grilled pineapple rings
water

Snack:
1/c c. baby carrots

I also walk about 5 miles a day according to my pedometer.

yes this plans does sound good. it is recommended that you workout first thing in the morning before eating anything because since you did not consume any calories prior to working out your body will be forced to burn fat. it will not eat your muscle though which some people believe because you will be using your muscle when you are working out. also include more vegetables in you diet they are high in fiber and other vital nutrients.

This sounds good but if u move your workout to the evening i have found that it reduces my hunger pangs throughout the day. Use as many organic and whole grain foods as u can!

As long as any bread you are eating is whole grain or whole wheat, it sounds pretty good. You should add more veggies though.
