Airport design and traffic loads. I've never been off the ground at JFK in 8 minutes, though. Not even close! Must have been a red-eye flight when traffic is very low.

It depends where is located your aircraft from the runway. The Gate could be 500 meters from the runway and you'll make it for 8 minutes...

Depends on many things. How much traffic there is, how planes need to be sequenced by ATC, how far you have to go to the runway, etc.
