They not only CAN be recycled, they SHOULD be recycled.
REturn, REuse, REcycle. It's all of some benefit to our environment. Us "tree huggers" see no sense in wasting such valuable resources just because there's plenty more where that came from.
In fact, I'll make anyone this deal: if you don't think it's important to be frugal with Earth's resources, why don't you give me all of your money and let me squander it as quickly and as needlessly as possible? It's the very same theory: waste, waste, waste, because there's always more!
Someday the Earth will run out of all the natural resources because we refused to recycle cardboard, aluminum, tin cans, plastic, styrofoam, old computers, cell phones, steel, newsprint, scrap paper, used cooking grease, ink cartridges, television sets, glass, magazines, phone books and everything else that isn't quickly biodegradable. I'm sure our great-grandchildren will thank us for our thoughtfulness. -RKO-

Yes they can.....anything made of paper can be recycled. I don't know about the plastic silverware though because some resycling centers only take certain kinds of plastics. Just call your local recycling center and find out.

The plastic cups we buy (e.g. Solo brand) usually have the triangular recycling symbol on them.
We recycle paper plates if they just had dry food on them (e.g. crackers). We rinse them off and add them in with newspapers, etc.
Spaceman spiff makes a good point about the plastics. Reuse is much easier on your budget and the environment than recycling.

Uhhh....yes. If they are made from paper, they can be recycled. Some plastic ware can be recycled as well. Check on the packaging for the recycling logo and it will tell you.

You tree huggers kill me.
You pollute the Earth more by recycling (energy and pollution for the recycling truck for example) than if you just throw the crap away. Future generations can mine it out of the ground in the next 1000 years.

paper towels, paper plates and paper cups - NO (get too soggy and gross, and who would save paper towels?)
but plastic cups are washable, as well as plastic plates and plastic utensils. on the other hand, new trees are planted every day - a renewable resource - so don't get too sad about throwing stuff away

yes it can be recycled but I'm really wonder in what process as many modern technology use chemicals and some harmful materials ,, for example we must clean these used papers by some chemicals before we can reuse it and these chemicals can pollute the environment

Not all theists are Christians. I'm a theist and I'm not a Christian. However, I'm also from an upper class European family so we don't use toilet paper. We use a bidet. Now go wash your butt and if you want to use an angel, soft or not, to do so, I don't care one bit. I'm pretty sure if the angel did, it could stop you, right?

As long as it's clean/dry all of the above is re-recyclable.
