What food should be served at a birthday party?

it depends on who it is for
kid- pizza, chips, ice- cream, cake
adult- try having a cook out and cook hamburgers and beef hot dogs... i would still have cake tho :)

Hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, chips ( couple of kinds), potato salad, coleslaw (if the birthday child like salads) cake, ice cream on the side, soda pop.

get some chips, can even be generic kind, and get the dips to go with them, and make some pretty trays... and also, have some weiners (i love cheesy weiners) grilling, and most of the kids won't even wanna tak the time to put them on a bun, and give the kids a tooth pick and let them have at it.. it's cheap and keeps them fed, and gets them out of your feet until cake and present time

Ice Cream. Healthy food will most likely ruin the mood, so give them treats, just not overboard.

I make a home made lemon sorbet... YUM! If he likes indian food (I can't stand it...) just replace the lemon with curry or add curry to the ice cream.
