Chace is not spelled incorrectly. it is a variation LISTED in baby name books AND "Ace" is used as a nickname (which his dad "mr baseball" likes:)

its unique and thats a good thing. you dont want your kid having someone else's name or similiar. good idea

Listen everybody, You can NOT spell a name incorrectly!
Every name which exists now was made up long ago (and some names not so long ago). People still continue to make up names today, So what's wrong with "making up" a new name that sounds like an old name? I can't really explain this, but there's no wrong spelling for a name! It's called being creative!
I like Chace, Not Howard. Howard is too dorky sounding. Nobody really name their kid that anymore. Not that I'm saying that you should name your son something which everyone else is named (i like unique, uncommon names), but "Howard" is a bit too "old". The only people you find today named Howard are 60+.
But it's your choice. Your son, your choice.

It's a nice name. I have a 18 year old cousin named Chace.... I personally wouldn't name my kid Chace because my cousin is a druggie and quite a loser, but thats just cuz of who his mother is.

I like Chace. Howard reminds me of "the duck" or of a maintance man.
