If he's teething right now then it is quite a discomfort for him to eat right now especially if he's taking in solids. Just give him formula if he still seems hungry after he refuses his food. Be sure to monitor his intake in case he starts to lose weight. But babies pretty much regain their appetite for solid foods after the discomfort passes. With my own baby girl I gave her applesauce that I froze and defrosted for a little bit so it became the texture of shaved ice. The cold applesauce helped relieve her sore gums and she took to eating lots of it as well. I did that for other fruits and vegetables as well.

This is a normal thing that most children go Thur. I went Thur it with one of my children. His doctor told me it was normal. He will eat when he is hungry. The main thing you need to worry about is dehydration. They have so much out there now. Like pedilight. If he will only take a little at a time then just feed him when he is hungry. May be more often then normal but when the teeth don't bother him anymore he will get back on track. If is seems to be that he continues this way for a long time then consult your pediatrician to make sure he is getting what he needs.

Putting your child on a schedule could work. You will program the body to get used to eating at the same time everyday. It works the best if you schedule sleep too. I started my son on this method from the very begining and i'm still using it today (he's 2). It takes out the guess work and can make life easier. The child will also learn that he can trust you because you are always on top of what he needs

I heard a pediatrician once say that infants will rarely starve themselves. They'll eat when they're hungry.
Although the child could be experiencing teething problems which makes it painful for him to eat. Talk to your pediatrician.

pls do not force the children.to eat.its not natural.and may lead to psychological problems later on.right now.she or he maybe cranky with teething problems.and the last thing they would want.is to hurt their sensitive.tender gum, so offer her a clean sterilised rubber tooth ring, and biscuit to chew on,and allow her pace, give her enough plain water, with "gripe"water to alleviate the discomfort of teething, and apply a baby "gel"on her gums, she will eat.once.her teeth erupts.don't worry much.as long as she have her milk/cereal in the bottle.it won;t deprive them of nutrients.until she get over this troublesome period of teething.

The child will eat when they feel like doing so. Anyone can go a long time without food. I wouldn't do very much to get them to eat if they don't feel like it.
