If this is true, you're probably experiencing post-traumatic-stress.. VERY common, esp. for those who are experiencing trauma of war. This entire situation has me angry, perplexed, and pissed-off at my own government, along with the Israeli govt. I mean, come on! Why attack children. women, and other civilians when they are not attacking you?
If you're really there, my heart does go out to you.. if not, I wonder why you would write such a thing...

Your body is in shock this is why you reacted this way. Maybe your belief in your god is enough to help you through this. There is nothing wrong with you you are a very strong young woman. However if symptoms such as severe flashbacks or nightmares occur then you must visit a doctor as soon as possible to receive the correct treatment and medication that will help you through your sadness and grief/loss. Sometimes these emotions may appear straight away or they may be triggered by something simple later in life or maybe you will never have to experience these feelings as your belief as i said earlier may be that god is enough to help you through these difficult times. I am very sorry for your great loss.

There is nothing wrong with you. Your brain has defense mechanisms that prevent you from experiencing intense psychological pain. That's why you react the way you do when you see such horrible things. Take care of yourself and hopefully peace will come to your area soon.

I am not a doctor. However, you seem to be extremely intelligent and aware of your feelings. I would not say you were in denial. It was just too much to react to, Had it been a lesser trauma, your reaction might have been strange. But your reaction is one of the ways people deal with this kind of problem.

Keep praying, keep yourself sane in any way you can. I'm praying that people will come to their senses.

You could have been just absorbing the moment...as bad as it was.
