Six of my friends told me that it isn't right to be "active" with your best friends and that is a rule. Why shouldn't you or can't you? I don't think it should matter if it's a friend or best friend. What could happen? Please be serious. Anyone know?

I don't know what your friends mean by "active." There's nothing wrong with going out a lot with friends.

If they mean sorta-dating and booty calls and stuff like that then your friends are trying to save you hurt. It seems like a good idea at the time but it's also a great way to lose a friend and drive wedges between your other friends. Just imagine the worst break-up you've ever had happening with that friend and you'll see what they're trying to save you from.

well the thing is that once you introduce "active" things the relationship changes and honestly as a guy it is real easy to take advantage of that situation to my benifit and not my partner. so if you want to try and date thats one thing because then you are dateing a friend and it can turn into a wonderful thing but it can also destroy the friendship. fine line but if your going to be active be in a commited relationship first hey marriage is one of those.

dont buy the cow if you can get the milk for free is one of the oldest sayings about sex before marriage and it really rings true most of the time so be in a realtionship use protection and be married so that you can have the freedom and intimacy that is supposed to go along with sex.

I assume you are talking about being sexually active.

Your friends are right. Once you become sexually active the dynamics of the relationship change. There is no going back once you have sex with someone.

I am assuming you are still young, perhaps in high school. Most young people are not ready for sexual relationships, physically or emotionally [even if they think they are].

Just stay friends, you wont regret it. Save the sex for marriage, or at least until you are much older and in a monogamous relationship.

Active as in sex? Well if people are willing, it's their choice. Perhaps your friends are worried that there would be fallout after the sex. Like one person assumes now that they are a couple, when in fact the other person just wanted sex and that's it. You know...break up group friend harmony.

Perhaps your friends are crushing on the same person. Depends what you want really...friendship with a whole lot of people, or a relationship with one.

Activity is good. It exercises your body and burns calories. This in turn keeps yer body in good shape and relieves the mind of stress. So whatever your friends say, stay active with everyone
whether it may be close friends or strangers!
And put yer rubber helmet on.

I have found "activity" ruins a friendship.
It puts relationships on a whole new personal level of which you cannot go back on

It's hard to mix sex and friendship, really hard. If you value them as good friends, it would be best to leave it at that. Friendship is worth more than a one night stand.

In general, you should try to make your own decisions about when and who you are active with.
