I like Bill O'Reilly and I think all drug addicts should be given a fair chance to get straight...a fair chance, not years and years and years. Those are the hopeless ones.

What Rush did was just plain stupid. Period. But, ya know, there's still a HUGE difference between getting hooked to pain medication and running a meth lab for junior high school kids. Let's keep things in perspective here. There are degrees of "badness" to this issue.

China had an interesting solution to their drug problem after Mao came to power (I'm not sure I would endorse this, but it worked REALLY WELL). The commies gave everyone 6 months to get straight--no penalties involved. After that, they simply arrested and shot anyone found dealing or producing illegal drugs. The drug problem in China still exists, of course, but it's pretty trivial nationwide.

I feel all addicts could use our prayers-- but that some addicts are hopeless, regardless of what O'Reilly and Rush say or do.
