Recently, in the local newpaper, they did a special 3-day report on the "end of the world and are we ready", describing that one of the three could happen:
1. Natural disaster
2. Flu pandemic
3. War
Which one do you think will be the one to end us and why?
It sounds like it's close (why the special report NOW?) so I think it's important to consider it.

War could well be our imminent downfall. It has the potential to wipe out the largest population and it seems to be our most immediate concern. The previous two possibilities, although they are realistic, are more hypothetical now.

None of the above. It is not 'the end of the world'. The Earth is going through a time of change and upheaval but to think the 'world' will end now, in our lifetimes, is very egotistical on human beings part. If no humans existed on Earth, the Earth would still whirl through space and rotate like it always has.

I think there is a problem with the report. 'End of the world and are we ready?' Even if you are "ready" for the end of the world, what does it matter? The world will end, making all readiness futile.
But alarmist news reports aside. The bible says what will happen to the earth, you should read it.

Well, it depends on where you stand in Christ. Those who are prepared and waiting on His return will be taken out before the most terrible disasters come. Those who are not ready when Christ comes back will have to go through the tribulation period. This where all the horrible disasters to destroy manking will occur.

Religion will be the end of man, if we do not wake up. Christians and Muslims are bound to go nuclear.

people have been predicting the end of the world since time began. not much can be done about it. just do your part.
