From what I can recall, exorcism is not specifically mentioned in the Bible, apart from the accounts of Jesus and His disciples (and some of the earlier prophets) casting out demons.

All it mentions is them doing that very thing, casting them out.

Christians, or perhaps more specifically Christians who have the gift (?), would be able to call on the Lord Jesus Christ to cast the demon out or to demand that the demon leave, "in the name of Jesus".

However, it would be wise to consult a knowledgeable pastor on this subject, rather than asking here...

If memory serves me correctly, the only actual exorcism in the Bible was when Jesus drove the demons out of a man and into the pigs. Remember? The demon(s) said "My name is Legion". Hmmm. No one else that I recall ever drove out demons. So, if Jesus was the only one who could, that makes modern excorcism a fiction and a fable. Right?

It says Jesus exorcised demons out of a man, and it says even greater things than these can we do after Jesus went to heaven. There was a man possessed that stayed in the cemetery and he was called Legion, because of all the demons in him, but he got delivered from them.
