I haven't done it....but.....probably YES!

Here's why.....
(Of course every girl that writes in here is going to call you a jerk for asking.....ignore that)
If you go to a jeweler, you're paying between 5 and 10 times the real market value of the ring. If you don't believe me, hang out at a pawn shop. I once saw a guy come in to resell an engagement ring after the girl turned him down because the jeweler wouldn't buy it back. He was devastated. They'd only give him 20% of what he paid. The markup for new jewelry is unreal. They don't call it JEWelry for nothing. So you ARE ALREADY getting ripped off......forget the fact that you MIGHT get ripped off on ebay, you ARE getting ripped off at the jewelers.

My husband bought my ring on eBay after I showed it to him because I thought it was just a pretty ring in general. I hadn't expected him to buy it and it's very special to me. However you have to think of the risks involved. One it may be used (mine's from the twenties so it's considered antique), it may not be what it advertised and she may not like it and you can't return it. The best thing to do is KNOW her taste and then pick one out from someone with a lot of sales and a good "positive" score. It can be a shoot in the dark but you could end up with a unique ring that she could love.

Don't forget to know her ring size, it's helpful!

Good luck!

If you're a cheap *** bastard who doesn't care enough to give the very best (ain't that a slogan?) then go ahead, get your engagement ring at ebay. Hey, love isn't measured with how expensive your gifts are, but making sure the person you love is given the attention that they deserve, and that even after a million years they would go back to that moment, and just magically show a smile.

NO I wouldn't recommend buying an engagement ring off of EBay. Because you'll never know if the person you are buying it from stole it or not.I'd go to either wal mart or some place like that. to get an engagement ring.good luck

(Not trying to be rude because I don't know you.)

Don't be cheap. IF you've got the cash, get her something custom-made and of better quality or from a jewelry store.

IF YOU DON'T have the cash, I can understand your reasoning. Just don't tell her where you got it though, unless she asks. Don't be lying about it now!

I just bought my wedding dress off of Ebay. I LOVE EBAY!! But, I am buying it for myself and I will only be wearing it ONE day, not the rest of my life. Rings are a little more symbolic and should be thought of as something priceless and treasured, like your fiance!!

:)

Not unless you enjoy getting ripped off. Save your money, then go to a reputable jeweler. Many will gladly allow you to make payments even if your credit history is poor. That's how I bought an engagement ring for my fiancee.

NOOO. That is a "buyer beware" kind of thing. It could be fake, cheaply made and mis represented. My ebay buyer info is ALL fake, just case I dont want them knowing my personal info- so you never know if sellers are fake. Theres nothing you can do to return it if it's not what you wanted- just catch a good sale elsewhere.

Nope - if you do then make sure they are a registered business in the UK or US. 99.99% of the chinese/asiatic jewellry adds are fakes... They ARE nice but very definatly fakes. Then again you get what u pay for.

Good Luck

no go to your jewrly store and get it because then if does not fit you can get it sized at the sane place for free. but if you dont and it does not fit you have to pay 75 dollars to get it sized.
