If that is all you drink or eat...yes!

The big problem with that is yes you can lose weight, but when you start eating normal again then you will gain the weight back double. Because your body will think it needs to store more food away for later. I would suggest cutting back on the amount of food you intake, and your body will get use to it so you don't go back to eating more. Also lay off the sodas and beer (if you drink).. There are other ways to lose weight the healthy way besides drinking lemon water.

Yes, but it would be totally unhealthy. There is a fast called "The Master Cleanser." by Stanley Burroughs. This is a fast that is very good for cleansing your body but you must remember that the kind of weight lost in fasting can be regained very rapidly, almost as soon as you begin eating again.

The master cleanser consist of fresh squeezed lemon juice, natural maple syrup (no chemicals) and cayenne pepper. Every day after the first week you drink a quart of solar dried sea salt and water. (Not absorbed because the salt and water is the same weight and consistency as your blood.)

I was on the fast for 30 days, lost 50 lbs., and my body was pure, intestines lungs no bad breath. I must tell you, that it is something that must be undertaken regularly to have lasting effects. Also Dr. Burroughs recommends that you become a vegetarian.

The lemon juice causes your stomach to get acid and you really do get problems and stomach pain. It's best, if you can, just to drink straight water... and still eat your 3 meals a day, of course. No CRASH diets! Anyway, I know where you are coming from. I'm trying to lose a bit now and water isn't my fav, but I'm trying to put even a dash of strawberry flavoring in it or something, just to make it more palatable....Even like 1 Splenda sugar or something can give it a bit of taste, but still I know it's best to have 8 glasses of plain water every day. I lost 50lbs before just doing that. Really that "lemon juice cuts the fat" idea is just pure bs. Good luck :)

No sugar and lemon in water means you are filling your stomach with virtually zero calories. Lemon is the richest source of Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) which itself helps in the maintenance of vital organs composed of connective tissue, like bones, muscles and gastrointestinal tract. So if you consume large quantities of plain water with lemon (no additives or preservatives) it can be eeew as TP mentioned but it will surely help you in managing your calorie intake.
Zero caloric intake is not suitable for health though. We do need energy on daily basis to keep up with our routine activities and therefore it is not advised on medical grounds that you should starve yourself with the 'aid' of lemon juice without sugar, but taken in moderation, espescially to reduce the appetite and get all important vitamin C, it is good to consume it on getting up early in the morning instead of regular tea/ coffee, at times when you are hungry and crave to eat your favorite fat and carbohydrate rich foods and generally to improve your circulation as water intake improves our kidney function and have beneficial effects on our circulatory systems.

Lemons actually contain a great deal of natural sugar. Your best bet, as always, is to eat small portions of a well-balanced diet and get a moderate amount of excercise.

Well, yes if you cut out all other drinks, such as sodas, juices with high fructose corn syrup, beer, wine, etc. etc. you would dramatically decrease your calorie intake and lose weight. But you also have to think about what you EAT, not just what you drink. and also come up with a sensible exercise program.

Never heard of that one, but drinking water with lemon in it will help you out. It has more to do with the water than the lemon.
