I have been seeing sporadic stories about clashes (physical) between border security types and pro-illegal immigrant types. Each instance where I have been able to find a MAINSTREAM press account detailing how it started, it has been with the pro-illegals crossing police barricades, or striking out at the anti-illegal immigration people. Up to that time it is purely verbal on both sides.

The impact is to stop people who are NOT physically agressive against others from wanting to speak out in public.

Personally, I think the speaking out that matters will be in the voting booth, however, I would fight for the right of the pro-illegals to march and speak out peaceably as much as for the anti-illegals. Has anyone else noticed this? Have I missed MAINSTREAM accounts of similar actions on the other side?

Gokart - this isn't Mexico. If we don't protect freedom of speech, where do we live?

I don't support any 'right' of illegals to be here, but I think anyone can speak their mind.

I'm concerned about the violence. It happened in Hollywood recently, too.

Pancha, I don't, unless 'the bunch' starts tactically condoning this sort of behavior.

Remy and Sashie, I am completely against the SPP and the Super Highway.

Ok, the 'right' of pro-illegals to march. You just lost my support right there. We're not trying to start a riot here, we're trying to see immigration law enforced. Mexico needs to go home. Immigration laws need to be enforced. The entire population of the United States that's eligible to vote needs to find a polling booth in November and make that one crystal-clear. No number of temper tantrums and public displays is going to improve the situation, maybe if Congress passed the 'Free Bus Ticket Act' we'd be farther along, here.

Remy is right ... the really big picture is this dratted Super Highway ... everything else is tinkering around the edges ... this 2010 plan is what has to be stopped before it goes too far ... that is the whole reason why Bush doesn't want to enforce the borders ... the administration has to be forced to sit up and take notice ... we have to let them know that we know what's going on behind our backs, and tell them in no uncertain terms that we aren't interested in Bush's globalization plans ... if you think there's violence now, just wait and see what will happen when Americans realize they've been sold down the swanney ...

Don't worry Bush has decided to open up our borders by 2010. Our borders will be open for everybody including Al-Qeada.

Even Conservatives thing Bush went off the deep end. America get ready because we won't be America we will be the North American Union.

Yep Bush sold us out, but don't take my word for it. Click on this link and read what a Republican Conservative magazine says. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=15839
