NATURAL SABLE BRUSHES are the best for smoothness. You could also try some other natural hair bristle brushes, just not hog's hair! - those are the really stiff ones and will leave marks-
Natural sable is really expensive, but other animal hair brushes are cheaper. They will work, but will not last as long or stay as nice. A round will make a nice line, but if you want softness and no brushmarks, get some flats too.
Just feel the bristle for softness and you should be OK.

Go to Michaels or some other art supply store and look at the brushes. Usually oil brushes are different than acrylic brushes.

Natural hair will give you smooth lines and also if you are painting with oils use liquin.

Badger hair. Buy brushes made from badger hair. They're expensive, but provide the smoothest bruh strokes possible.
