Well, it depends on what YOU want. Long healthy hair is an incredibly beautiful asset.
There are some beautiful hair toys which will accent your hair. There are also many Internet groups which will give you support and encouragement. In this processed happy, snip happy, thermal happy world, it is not always easy to keep beautiful long hair.
Think twice about donating to Locks of Love; they do not take the donated hair and make wigs, as so many people think. They sell the hair to commercial wig makers, and they charge for the wigs they do make.

Make sure you keep it clean and conditioned and tangle-free. For that, always comb or brush from the bottom up. You don't have to spend boocoos on conditioner; try plain olive oil, or blend with an egg, work into hair and wrap in plastic wrap for 30 min or so. (Plastic wrap saves getting oil all over a towel.) Shampoo as usual using Cool water (so you don't cook the egg!). You can do this about once a week to keep it sleek and shiny.
You could experiment with different braids and styles...I envy you. I never had the patience or the ability to make long hair look nice on myself.

If you have at least 12 inches you are wiling to cut off then donate to locks of love. Your hair can serve as a beautiful hair piece for children with cancer, that is a great gift you can give. And just imagine the smile on one child's face when she is sporting a new hair doo.

Cut off at least 5 inches and add layers. Nothing brings someones face down more than really long drab hair. You will love it the second that hair is gone.

You should cut a bit off so that you just have long hair. Then, with the cut hair you should donate it to an orginazation.

If your long hair is bothering you then you should have it cut. If not let it grow and be the talk........ like "did you see that girl's beautiful hair?".
Best of luck on whatever you choose, it's a personal decision.

i have really long hair too...i always want to cut it in the summer time but never do...so what i do is just throw it up into a messy bun and tie a cute scarf around it...everyone thinks this looks cute...guess it depends on your style tho...if you want to cut it, cut it, but you know as well as i do...everyone loves long hair, but not too many people have it.

First...You should add some type of originality to it. Highlights would be nice. Then add a unique style such as side swept bangs, 'chinese' or blunt bangs, or even layers. For different styles...try different types of 'buns' or 'knots', goddess braids, fun ponytail (twists at the front/crown), big curls that add body, half-up half-down. Hope that helps.

Yeah, there are kids who have suffered hair loss due to either cancer or alopecia.
Won't you help instill some confidence and self-esteem in one of these kids? Donate some of your hair to Locks of Love or Wigs for Kids.
