i keep hearing that they help with thinning hair by making it grow thicker???

is this true??

Yes going through the same thing Take them they do help but keep you hungry because remember they are really for the Expectant mother to be and although they have plenty of vitamins we need I think they can set the female body up to produce more eggs to be fertile. LOL So be care full if you don't want to GET PREGNANT.

No, but it will help hair and nails grow faster. Prenatal vitamins should also be taken 3-4 months before trying to conceive in order to cut the risk of certain Neural Tube defects such as Spina Bifida, because the spinal column is formed before women even know that they are pregnant.

Any and all vitamins would help your hair if you aren't currently taking any. You can get prenatal vitamins over the counter though if those are the ones you want.

I don't think it is true. Maybe you heard tht because women who are pregnant sometimes notice that their hair is thicker. The thickness is due to hormonal changes, not the vitamins.
