How about you say it whenever you feel it is true? Why would sex have to factor into it? Can't you just love a person when you are ready, be it before or after? Some people could just have sex and never love the other person. I say just say it when you know it's for sure!

It depends on the couple. Honestly every relationship is different and for some sex before I Love You could really help a couple see if their compatible enough to consider true love. Sex after Love shows the couple isn't all about physical compatibilty. But if the love builds up the physical attraction which turns out to be nothing, the relationship is ruined in the process.

Good question to ponder. I think it's better not to say "I love you" unless you really, really, really mean it and are sure of it, after having dated the person for a significant period of time (i.e. more than just a month, folks!)
Real love doesn't happen because of sex or for lack thereof, of course. And certainly not in anticipation of!
All things being equal, it's better not to say "I love you" immediately before or after you have sex because it creates a huge expectation that you might not be able to meet. Feelings change and sex --as you put it-- does change an association or relationship.

I think you should say it whenever you feel it and the time is right. It just depends on what type of relationship you have with that person. If you are in a relationship, sometimes it's better. I think sex is much better when there's love and passion behind it.

Sex and Love don't happen at the same time. You should only say you love someone if you mean it. You can have sex with anyone...but you don't always love them. Just say it when you feel it and if you don't feel it then don't say it.

They should declare thier love LONG LONG before any sex, where is the passion in sex without the love to accompany it.
You both should have established a great relationship where you can easily say i love you before sex.

I think this question is a frightning picture of society today.
Tell someone you love them when you know you......
drumrole please....
LOVE THEM.
How it times itself with intercourse is immaterial and confusing. Time it with honest reflection, truth, and conviction, not events.
I personally feel that if you don't love someone, you shouldn't have be having sex with them, but that's an opinion buried in numerous beliefs and life experiences that many people would rather not listen to.

Most people dont have sex unless they love someone so then you'd say it before.
However.
Some people dont care if they love the person or not they are just in " lust " so then its no you probably won't say it till you're at the point of climax!! hehe

Love isn't about sex. You might as well be saying: Should I say I love you before or after the first pasta dinner together.
You say "I love you" when it feels right.
